Reiki is a Japanese form of healing and energy balancing that has its roots in Tibetan energy work. Reiki complements any belief system and other alternative and traditional healing/balancing practices, such as massage, spiritual healing, prayer, auras cleansing, crystal therapy, naturopathy, homeopathy, chakra balancing, meditation, aromatherapy and all Western Medical practices.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word representing universal life energy. It is derived from rei, meaning “universal life energy.” Universal life force is referred by many cultures: Ki by Japanese, Chi by Chinese and Prana by Middle East Cultures.
Reiki works on the physical, spiritual, and emotional levels of aliments. Reiki involves the transfer of universal life energy through the practitioner to the client in order to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself through balancing of energy.
Reiki is unique in healing systems because it does not use the healer’s energy, and the symbols are a unique connection to the source of all. Reiki’s standardized techniques of hand placements make it possible to help an individual restore and balance the natural life force energy within the body. It is holistic, natural, no-touch energy healing system that affects all levels: body, mind and spirit.
The therapy is applied over the clothes. The client should wear comfortable clothes, such as a t-shirt and shorts or sweats.
